Jennifer Edwards joined the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health in August 2018 as the Rural Health Systems Manager and Deputy Director. She is responsible for coordinating the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program (Flex) and Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) in Pennsylvania. Jen has 15 years of experience in healthcare organizations from clinics to medical centers in a wide variety of operational positions ranging from practice management, financial operations, aeromedical evacuation, emergency management, and medical logistics. Prior to joining the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health, Jen spent thirteen years in the Air Force as a Medical Service Corps Officer in Healthcare Administration working in various parts of the United States and overseas. She is a graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks where she earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business Administration.
