National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH)
Chris Salyers is the Education and Services Director at the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health. Prior to this position, he was a Rural Project Manager with the Kentucky Office of Rural Health managing communications, workforce, Networks and special projects. Chris’ career began as a peer support specialist for adults with severe mental illnesses and substance use disorders in Eastern Kentucky, before completing a Counseling degree and moving into SAMHSA and HRSA grant programs. Chris holds a Doctor of Health Sciences from A.T. Still University where his research focused on comprehensive access to primary care in Appalachia.
